My Dad was in the Navy and I was born in Pensacola, Florida. I began playing drums at the age of 7 years old with my mother's yarn needles, pillows and furniture. Of couse, she had replacement pillows; it was her way of displaying her support of my effort.
When I was 16, the first band I played before an audience with was called Fortunate Sun; it was a rock band. I had crazy long hair, then. Moved on to Country Kiss for eight years, playing for other bands in Florida and Georgia. Played for Curb Records and Shooting Star Records for many of the new, up-and-coming artists out of Nashville, TN.
Since in Indiana, I've developed and played with a back-up band for the Colgate Country Music Showdown and named them Long Shot; continuing on with them for four more years. I am currently playing with The Impasse Band performing in the local and regional country venues throughout Indiana. I've played for a tribute band called the Country Stars Review based out of Kentucky and, in conclusion, I've played for many of the local country, rock and blues bands.
And the rest is history.
